RMIT allows the enrolment of students from the age of 16. The University provides childcare services to children from three months to five years, it hosts visiting children, and it conducts research with children and young people.

At RMIT we are committed to child safety, protecting children from harm or maltreatment, and being a child safe organisation. Child safety is everyone's responsibility.

Upon completing this course, you will:

• understand the Victorian Child Safe Standards
• be mindful of ways to avoid risk to children and young people, and be prepared to respond if you have a concerns
• know what to do if you witness an incident, receive a disclosure or have a reasonable belief that a child is at risk
